Cianjur was well-known as the rice city in priangan region. This city mainly produced agricultural products, especially rice, and has been known as the major source of rice production for the Java island.
Today, Cianjur was grown up as a supporting city that supply big amount of worker for Bandung and Jakarta.
This city is often become a tourist destination for city dwellers of Jakarta and surrounding areas. The cool air and towering mountains are often used as an escape from the busyness of everyday's life for capital society. Tauco Cianjur
Tauco is a unique food or flavor that mainly associated with Cianjur city. This paste made from preserved fermented soybeans in Chinese Indonesian cuisine. The name of "tauco" comes from the pronunciation in the Hokkian's dialect and it is originated from China. The sauce is also commonly used in other Indonesian cuisines traditions, such as Sundanese cuisine and Javanese cuisine.
